Esta es una unidad base USB a serie fácil de usar para la línea Digi XBee. Funciona con todos los módulos XBee, incluyendo las versiones estándar y Pro de las Series 1 y 2.5. Conéctala al XBee Explorer, conecta un cable mini USB y tendrás acceso directo a los pines serie y de programación.

La característica principal de esta placa es un convertidor USB a serie FT231X, que traduce los datos entre tu ordenador y el XBee. También incluye un botón de reinicio y un regulador de voltaje para suministrar suficiente energía al XBee. Además, cuenta con cuatro LED que te ayudarán si necesitas depurar tu XBee: RX, TX, RSSI (indicador de intensidad de señal) e indicador de encendido.

Esta placa también conecta cada uno de los pines de E/S del XBee a un par de conectores compatibles con la placa de pruebas. Si quieres aprovechar las funciones extendidas del XBee, puedes soldar algunos pines del conector o incluso simplemente soldar un cable.
