The world premiere sound and video recording of "Pygmaglione" is the first opera composed by the 19-year-old Donizetti to a libretto by Soglaffi. Based on the Greek myth of the sculptor who falls in love with his own work and brings it to life, the two-person performance features the veteran Teatro Donizetti in the title role. Veteran tenor Antonio Siragusa sings the title role with smooth and colorful singing, and mezzo-soprano Aya Wakizono, a rising star, sings the role of Galateia with a beautiful voice full of charm. Ke Originali! is a one-act comedy by Maile (Donizetti's teacher) based on Rossi's libretto. It is a funny satire that is relevant today, in which music teacher Don Fabio forces his children to learn music if they don't want to.
