Celibidacke + Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra's Chai 4, Chai 519A collection of live masterpieces by Celibidacke + Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra from the 1960s to the 1970s has been officially released. Following the Beethoven and "Fantasy," which received a great response, the new release is a strong performance of his favorite Tchaikovsky, that is, the 4th and 5th. Tchaikovsky was a favorite of Tchaikovsky's and he performed it repeatedly throughout his life. The performance beautifully embodies the seemingly contradictory ideals of both a spectacular infusion of emotion and an orderly tone and ensemble. In the performance, there are already glimpses of a slant toward the slow tempi of his later years. However, there are also some dynamic and driving performances that are typical of his prime years, and they are all fascinating masterpieces. The cool tone of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra is also a noble one, as befits Tchaikovsky. The performance is of a level of perfection that could only be achieved by a master who was "at the top of his game" at any given time. The only authorized recordings of any of these pieces are from his later years with the Munich Philharmonic Orchestra, so this is a must-hear.
