Grant Green
Description:
This 1970 album was the second in a series of comebacks for Grant Green, who had been temporarily imprisoned for drug-related problems. After his comeback, Green often featured R&B and funk songs. On this album, too, James Brown's "Ain't It Funky Now," which features a fierce shout on the guitar, is excellent. Neil Creekie, who contributed two songs to the album, was one of the key contributors to the late Green's sound.
