Description:
A rare organ album produced by John Hammond and Lonnie Smith's first leader! Born July 3, 1942 in Lackawanna, New York. He entered the music world as a member of a vocal group and even played trumpet and tuba. One day, he saw an organ on display at a music store and was convinced that this was the instrument for him. He joined George Benson's band in 1965 and released this album in 1967 (Billboard's August 19 issue of the same year gave it 4 stars out of the highest 5 stars in its disc review.
