The No.2 Bond Perfector is a bond multiplier NOT a conditioning treatment. No.2 is not optional. No.2 is absolutely necessary after every single service when using Olaplex as it is a system. No.1 is meant to help mitigate damage during the color, lightening and relaxing process, however it cannot stop all of it. If it did, you would not get a visible result. No.2 is not an activator, neutralizer, sealer or conditioner. No.2 contains the same active ingredient as No.1. No.2 finds more single sulfur hydrogen bonds and cross links them back together without color, lightener or relaxers working against it.

TIPS & TRICKS:

CUTTING LOTION: Clients new to OLAPLEX or do not receive color or chemical services.

1. Rinse hair, apply a small amount of OLAPLEX No.2.
2. Proceed with haircut then shampoo, condition and style.

EXTRA REPAIR:

1. Apply OLAPLEX No.2 to exposed hair (mid-ends) that have been left out while processing regrowth Color, highlights, or a relaxer retouch.
2. This allows the client to receive a treatment and is beneficial to overly processed ends.

DIRECT DYES:

1. Use OLAPLEX No.2 in place of clear gloss or conditioner to dilute the color.
2. Protects the hair while coloring and boosts longevity and vibrancy!

PROTECTION WHILE ON-SCALP LIGHTENING:

1. Apply OLAPLEX No.2 on previously lightened line of demarcation prior to bleach touch-ups to help prevent overlapping.
2. If overlapping occurs, OLAPLEX will work to avoid breaking bonds on fragile hair.

PERM PREP:

1. Mix equal amounts of OLAPLEX No.2 and protein treatment.
2. Apply to highly porous damaged areas and place under dryer with no cap until hair is dry.
3. Using a spray water bottle, remoisten the hair and wrap the perm.

1. Fully saturate beard with OLAPLEX No.2.
2. Process for a minimum of 5 minutes or more.
3. Shampoo and condition.

OLAPLEX + Lightener/Color

1. Add the product OLAPLEX No.1 to lightener or color. Follow as usual.
2. Then rinse and shampoo lightly (we recommend using OLAPLEX No.4 BOND MAINTENANCE SHAMPOO).
3. Apply OLAPLEX No.2. Leave on a minimum of 10 minutes.
4. Rinse, shampoo and condition. We recommend using OLAPLEX No.4 BOND MAINTENANCE SHAMPOO and OLAPLEX No.5 BOND MAINTENANCE CONDITIONER for best results.

OLAPLEX STAND-ALONE TREATMENT

1. Mix 1/2oz (15ml) OLAPLEX No.1 with 3oz (90ml) of water in a non-spraying applicator bottle.
2. Without rinsing out the OLAPLEX No.1 and water mixture, apply a generous amount of OLAPLEX No.2 from roots to ends and work through thoroughly. Leave on a minimum of 10 minutes. You can leave on longer if desired.
3. Rinse, lightly shampoo and if a protein treatment is needed, it should be done at this point (follow treatment directions to SHAMPOO or rinse after), then condition and proceed as usual. We recommend using OLAPLEX No.4 BOND MAINTENANCE SHAMPOO and OLAPLEX No.5 BOND MAINTENANCE CONDITIONER for best results.

Alternative ways to use Olaplex N.2

• MINI-TREATMENTS: Rinse hair thoroughly. Towel dry and apply a generous amount of OLAPLEX No.2. Work through and leave on for a minimum of 5 minutes. Shampoo and condition! This works great prior to a haircut or blow dry as a quick introduction to OLAPLEX.

• CUTTING LOTION: Rinse hair, apply a small amount of OLAPLEX No.2, proceed with haircut then shampoo, condition and style! Great for clients who are new to OLAPLEX or do not have Color or chemical services performed.

• EXTRA REPAIR: Apply OLAPLEX No.2 to exposed hair (mid-ends) that have been left out while processing regrowth Color, highlights, or a relaxer retouch. This allows the client to receive a treatment and is benefcial to overly processed ends.

• BEARD TREATMENT: Fully saturate beard with OLAPLEX No.2, let process for a minimum of 5 minutes or more. Shampoo and condition.

HOW TO USE:

• This is the second step of the Olaplex system, applied at the shampoo bowl.
• Apply after all processing has been completed and rinsed
• Apply a generous amount and comb through thoroughly.
• Leave on the hair for a minimum of 10-20 minutes. Keep in mind, the longer it's on, the more effective it is.
• (If Applicable:Toner) You will actually use no.2 before your toner if specified not to shampoo your toner out. If you are instructed not to shampoo, then you will rinse highlight, apply No.2 for a minimum of 10-20 mins, shampoo thoroughly- or TWICE (issues with toners not taking are due to hair not being thoroughly shampooed) and then apply your toner, rinse and condition.
• If you are able to shampoo a toner out (as per your brand) then you will Rinse highlights, apply toner, process, rinse and apply No2., process a minimum of 10-20 mins, shampoo and condition as normal.
