In 2017, MOOER teamed up with progressive metal icon Devin Townsend to release the acclaimed Ocean Machine pedal. The Mooer Ocean Machine II is an upgraded version offering enhanced ambient effects and deeper creative control.

Like the original, it features two independent delay modules with nine delay types each (ranging from classic digital and tape to more experimental options like galaxy and rainbow), plus a high-fidelity reverb module with nine types and a shimmer effect. All effects can be frozen for ambient drone textures, now supported by upgraded DSP processing.

The looper now provides 120 seconds of recording time (up from 44 seconds), with a new LCD screen and 12 knobs for easy tweaking in ‘Play Mode.’ Three footswitches handle effects, tap tempo, looping, and preset switching. In ‘Patch Mode,’ users can access 24 presets across eight banks.

A hybrid parallel/serial routing system—key to Devin Townsend’s signature tone—adds flexibility to the signal chain. MIDI support, expression pedal input, and F4 wireless footswitch compatibility further expand control, while a USB-C port enables firmware updates.

With full stereo I/O, global EQ, and switchable true/DSP bypass, the Mooer Ocean Machine II is designed to fit into any rig. Rugged and tour-ready, it’s a powerful tool for crafting lush, spatial soundscapes.
