Some units earned cool names. The 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment earned one the hard way. German troops in Normandy started calling them Teufel in roten Hosen after getting torn up by paratroopers in bright red jump trousers. “Red Devils” stuck, and so did their reputation.
The emblem on this hoodie is their wartime mark: a grinning skull beneath a parachute canopy, flanked by bat-wing shadow shapes that look exactly like something you’d paint on your A-frame before jumping into a hornet’s nest. It’s one of the unmistakable WWII Airborne symbols, worn by a regiment that dropped into Normandy, fought through the Bulge, and made their bones long before “airborne” was a brand.
The hoodie itself is built for comfort. Garment-dyed, soft as a well-broken-in field jacket, and relaxed without being sloppy. It’s what you end up living in when the weather decides to remind you you’re not 19 in jump boots anymore.
A solid piece of kit for anyone who appreciates the history, the grit, and the airborne attitude that built the legend.
