• Made exclusively by The Tudor Tailor
Sewing patterns for several styles of early front-lacing and side-lacing Tudor kirtles (basic dresses or underdresses) with neckline and sleeve variations, suitable for ladies 1485-1520. With full instructions for choosing materials, sizing and constructing garments - perfect for reenactors.
These patterns were developed for inclusion in The Queen's Servants and are based on the garments and fabrics issued by the Great Wardrobes of Henry VII and Henry VIII.
Highly researched and based on documentary descriptions, extant examples and paintings. See the image of the pattern envelope for specific sources.
Please note, these kirtles are designed to be worn over a smock and under a separate gown. Patterns for these are not included and should be purchased in addition to the kirtle pattern.
This pattern is available in either larger sizes or smaller sizes. Please see the size chart included in the photos for this listing to ensure you're selecting the correct pattern for you.
Note, photos of actual garments are examples only – no garments are included with this product.
