El Jolgorio is a range of artisanal mezcal from Oaxaca, made from a wide variety of rare, unique agave species.

The "Black Bottle" Arroqueno mezcal is produced by Pedro Vasquez and sons in the village of Lachigui, in the mountainous Miahuatlan district of Oaxaca. The Arroqueno varietal of agave takes 15-20 years to reach full maturity and is known for concentrated sugars that provide alluring tropical fruit flavors. For the 15th edition of El Jolgorio Arroqueno, The Vasquez family used 16 year old agave, 25% of which employed the "capon" harvesting method, and bottled the spirit without dilution at 54.6% abv. It has lovely notes of melon, mango, and pineapple along with some citrus and lemongrass. The finish features a beautiful wet stone minerality and a hint of smoke.
