CFX Grand Concert Tone

To ensure an incredible voice, Yamaha sampled their flagship 9' CFX concert grand piano for the main voice on the YDP-164.

Featuring sparkling highs, and a powerfully resonant bass, along with a sound that is designed to project across a full sized concert hall, these tones helped the CFX earn a reputation for one of the best-sounding concert grands available.

Acoustic Piano Playability

For a truly authentic acoustic playing experience, the GH3 (Graded Hammer 3) keys on the Yamaha YDP-164 are crafted from synthetic ivory and ebony, and offers a heavy feel towards the Bass side, and a lighter touch towards the top end.

The cutting-edge GH3 comes equipped with a three-sensor configuration that will accurately sense and interpret the keyboard's behaviour, providing a genuine grand piano-style response and feel.

Intelligent Acoustic Control

For a rich and balanced sound at all volume levels, Yamaha have opted to incorporate IAC (Intelligent Acoustic Control) technology.

This technology adjusts the balance of bass and treble automatically, which allows you to enjoy a full, rich sound, whatever volume you play at.

This awesome, powerful application can analyse any songs stored on the device, and will display the chord symbols for you on-screen, allowing you to play along at will.
