Fabulous Victorian notebook copied out by a schoolgirl in 1889. Unclear if it was for school or just a passion project, but Miss Blanche copied in beautiful penmanship 99 pages of biographical sketches of famous men and women from history. She even set it up like a “real” book with a preface, copyright page, and table of contents! Richly illustrated throughout in naive pen drawings. One or two are done in colored pencil. Refer to photos for size & condition: Overall excellent; textblock is in great shape with wear to the leather binding, much of which has chipped away over the decades.
