The Oyster Perpetual is a direct descendant of the original Oyster released in 1926, which established Rolex's reputation as the world's first waterproof wristwatch.

It is the origin of Rolex with two of its three major inventions: the Oyster case, with its water resistance and excellent durability, and the self-winding Perpetual mechanism with a rotor that rotates in both directions.

This Oyster Perpetual is Ref.1002 produced in the late 1960s.
The small 34mm case is the perfect size for people with thin arms, so it can be used by both men and women.

The case material is made of 14K yellow gold. Compared to 18K, it has a slightly less yellow tint, giving it the impression of a subdued gold color.

The dial is a champagne gold dial that is the same as the case. Overall it is in very good condition.

As a result of the ageing of the original dial, raised bubbles can be seen in places. The bar hands and bar indexes are without luminous paint.

The movement is a self-winding Cal.1570, a chronometer-certified movement that is highly accurate,durable and easy to maintain.
