This 1980s vintage suit is from Emanuel Ungaro's "Parrellele" label and comprises a weighty black and magenta jacket paired with a coordinating plaid skirt. The jacket has a crew neck, two decorative pocket flaps, and two functional patch pockets. It is trimmed in a magenta, black, and gold braid and further enhanced with goldtone buttons with pink centers. Pinched pleats - three on each side in front and back - clearly define the waist. The fabric is a quasi plaid with boucle squares alternating with black squares with gold lurex. The pencil skirt is a coordinating magenta and multi-colored plaid, and it too has gold lurex woven throughout the fabric. No fabric labels are present, but these pieces are obviously wool or a wool blend (the jacket probably has some mohair in it). The colors are much brighter than in the ebay photos, especially the skirt. Both pieces are fully lined. Both jacket and skirt are labeled vintage size 14, but based on the measurements, it is closer to a modern size 12. Please refer to the measurements for additional guidance regarding sizes.
