A SHORT GUIDE ON HOW TO INSTALL A LOUVER ON A WINDOW:

1. First, measure the lengths of each edge of the louver. Typically, each of the four sides requires two brackets. Maintaining equal spacing, drill two holes (with a diameter of 5 mm) on each side.
The center of each hole should be positioned 5–6 mm away from the edge of the part to ensure that the mounting plate does not extend beyond the louver’s perimeter once installed.

2. After drilling the holes, attach the mounting plates using washers and nuts. Do not tighten them fully yet, but make sure the plates are held firmly in place. Then, apply sponge tape along the remaining perimeter, placing it right at the edge. 

3. Clean the window surface to remove any grease or dust.
Peel off the protective film from the metal plates, then carefully place the louver onto the window, centering it. It’s best to do this with two people.
Firmly press down on the areas where the mounting plates are located.
Finally, fully tighten the nuts — but do not overtighten.

ADVANTAGES OF THIS METHOD COMPARED TO OTHERS.

There are three methods for installing the louver.

1. Adhesive – This is the simplest, though not always the easiest, method.
It is most commonly used on project cars, where it’s known in advance that the louver will not need to be removed anytime soon.

2. Double-sided tape – This method is more convenient than adhesive, as the work is cleaner.
It’s relatively easy to apply, and the process is quicker.
Removing the louver is physically easier compared to adhesive, but you will still need to remove any tape residue and clean the surface.

3. Metal brackets – This is a convenient, clean, and quick method. The main advantage of this louver installation method is that the louver can be easily removed at any time, simply by unscrewing the nuts.
